[Green computing for our beloved Earth], a topic that express how balance can be reached for technology and natural environment, eg: Technology lifestyle:¡]3C, information, electronics, solar power, future gadgets¡K etc¡^ Environmental energy saving: (global warming, resource recycling, energy recreation... etc)
Equipment & format 1. Traditional or digital cameras.
2. Black & white or colored photographs.
Submission
1. Preliminary¡GClosing date: 2007/5/27 20:00 (GMT+08:00 Taipei).
2. Semi-final¡GPhotograph artwork that is qualified for the preliminary, participants shall be required to upload the files onto the assigned FTP address with the format of 300dpi, 2048 pixel in length or above, file size 20MB or above for printing purpose.
Collection date
1. Preliminary¡GClosing date: 2007/5/27 20:00 (GMT+08:00 Taipei). ¡C
2. Semi-Final ¡Gphotograph artwork that is qualified for the preliminary, participants shall be required to upload the files onto the assigned FTP address during 5/28~5/31.

¡°Artwork sent exceeding the closing date shall not be qualified.
Collection method Please mail photograph and application form (below link) to: mktprogram@via.com.tw, with artwork description under 50 words
Methods of judge
1. Panel of judges will be hired to select the best artwork
2. Artwork selection will be judged by: Content 40%, artwork skill 30%, creativity 30%
3. Artwork preliminary selection: 2007/5/28 ~ 2007-5/31. Jury shall determine the artworks that are qualified for Semi-final. preliminary winners will be notified by email and their artworks will be posted on the program website,
4. Semi-final: 2007/6/5 ~ 2007-6/9. Artworks shall be opened for public votes (40%) in Wieshow Cinemas plaza, Taipei, Taiwan and VIA's panel of judges (60%)
5. VIA shall invite preliminary qualified participants to join the semi-final voting open celemoney.
6. Final: 2007/6/11 ~ 2007-6/15, VIA's panel of judges shall vote the winner from the qualified participants after Semi-final
7. Winner announcement: winners list shall be announced on the competiton website on 2007/6/20

Terms & conditions By participating in this Painting and Photography competition (the ¡§Competition¡¨), entrants shall be deemed to have accepted and agreed to abide by the following rules (the ¡§Rules¡¨).
1. All works submitted to this Competition by the entrant (the ¡§Work¡¨) shall be original works.
2. The Work will become the property of VIA and will not be returned.
3.

Entrant hereby agrees to assign to VIA the copyright and all other intellectual properties of the Work.? VIA shall have at all times the right to use the Work and their duplicates for any purpose in any way without the prior consent of or payment of any fee to the entrants.

4.

Furthermore, entrants hereby warrant that any and all information and/or Works submitted to this Competition will not infringe any copy right, privacy protection or any other intellectual property rights of any third party.
5. VIA reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of this Rules.
6.

In the event of any dispute regarding this Rules, competition notice, conduct, competition results and/or any other matters relating to this Competition, VIA¡¥s judgment and decision shall be final in all situations including any not covered in this Rules and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Prizes for this Competition are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative; VIA reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.
8.

All fees, taxes, insurances, transportation cost, spending money and other expenses (including meals or personal expenses upgrades etc.) as the case may be, unless specifically stated in writing by VIA, are the sole responsibility of the entrants.
9. Claims for prizes must be made in the manner and within the time specified on the competition notice. Failure to claim a prize within this time or in the manner specified may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
10.

In no event shall VIA accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Competition or as a result of accepting any prize.

11.

Entrant shall at all time comply with the Rules to be eligible for the prizes. ?No responsibility is
accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.
12.

VIA reserve the right to cancel this Competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in their opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
13.

The Rules are subject to amendment of VIA without prior notice.
14.

The Rules are governed by the laws of Republic of China.
